Handmade Functionality

Heather Jackson is the creator, owner, and sole operator of Everyday Stoneware. She started taking pottery classes and exploring the world of functional art in the fall of 2011 in a small basement studio in New York City. After four class semesters, she decided to apply to be a studio artist, with free range to create anything she could think of that would fit into a kiln! From simple mugs to exquisitely painted cups, bowls, and teapots, Heather has only just started to find the niche she enjoys working in. The goal has always been simple - make functional pots that anyone can use any day, and make it beautiful. She hopes that the feeling of warmth and joy you get isn't just from drinking your morning coffee, but also from the satisfaction of using a lovingly handmade mug to drink it out of.

Everything listed on the Etsy shop is microwave and dishwasher safe (unless otherwise stated with that product's description). However, due to the handmade nature of these items, I always recommend hand washing for the longevity of your handmade wares. I've worked hard to make them sturdy enough for everyday use, and have even dropped a few of my own pieces in the kitchen (whoops) but I very rarely have breakage. In the case that something arrives to you already broken, I am happy to issue a refund or remake the work.
